The ISO 42001 Lead Implementer certification is available to qualified candidates who:

1. Are a member of CIS in good standing. If you are not already an Associate member of the CIS certification student body, you must first become a member to pursue the ISO 42001 Lead Implementer credential.
   
   
2. Have already achieved and maintain professional accreditation as a CIS ISO 31000 Certified Internal Controls Risk Analyst (CICRA). 
   ISO 42001 requires implementing a risk-based approach to responsible and ethical development, implementation, and management of artificial intelligence. Accordingly, the ISO 42001 Lead Implementer certification is a stacking credential that requires current CIS certification as an ISO 31000 Certified Internal Controls Risk Analyst (CICRA) as a prerequisite for ISO 42001 Lead Implementer certification eligibility. Getting trained and certified in ISO 31000 and ISO 23894 risk management is highly necessary to make the most of learning how to responsibly and ethically develop, implement, and manage artificial intelligence. 3. Attend the required CIS approved curriculum course (live or online): "ISO 42001 Training."
   
   
4. Pass the ISO 42001 Lead Implementer exam #AIMS101. CIS exams are administered on-line and can be taken at your convenience at your home or work through the CIS eLearning Center, where your progress and score are monitored and recorded centrally. Your exam results are provided automatically upon completion of your exam.
   
   
5. Complete and submit your ISO 42001 Lead Implementer application to the Certification Department at certification@certifiedinfosec.com. Certification applications are available for download at www.certifiedinfosec.com/services/certification-programs/cis-professional-certification-program/certification-kit-brochures-and-applications.

Your digital credential

You will officially become certified (certificated) once your exam results and required documentation are validated and approved by the certification committee.
