NIST AI Risk Management Framework Assessment Micro-Lab
A guided micro-lab for leaders and practitioners to learn
how to determine what the organization needs to govern and measure AI risk.
Your organization is already integrating AI throughout its operations. AI informs the decisions your team makes and may even make decisions itself, including who is considered for hire. This introduces significant new risk throughout the organization.
AI adoption changes more than an organization’s technology. It changes how decisions are made, how work is performed, which parties carry responsibility, and who remains accountable for the results. Many organizations have already introduced AI into business processes. Existing policies and review procedures weren't written to address the decisions those systems now make in the organization's name.
Does your organization have what it takes to properly identify and manage that risk? Can your customers and regulators trust how your organization uses AI? Use Certified Information Security's NIST AI RMF assessment platform to find out.
Get hands-on experience with the Assessment System
This is not just a lecture or a framework overview. You will work directly in the Multi-Framework Assessment System by Certified Information Security using a guided demonstration scenario. You will:
- navigate the NIST AI RMF objectives/outcomes and supporting practices;
- inspect the questions and evidence prompts that structure the assessment;
- compare scoring with the primary and corroborative evidence an assessor would expect;
- explore how the system facilitates cross-functional collaboration throughout the organization;
- trace how information is prepared for review, challenge, and follow-up; and
- see how the system can produce a professional, agency-quality report of the organization’s current capability and readiness to properly manage AI risk.
- Complete the micro-lab to receive a certificate of completion and earn 1 CPE credit.
The micro-lab demonstrates the nature, structure, and scale of professional assessment work. It does not claim to complete that work or replace the training required to perform it.

How this fits into the bigger picture of implementing and auditing AI risk management according to NIST AI RMF
Use Certified Information Security’s NIST AI Risk Management Framework assessment platform to see what your organization must be prepared to demonstrate about its development, management, use, and integration of AI. See what a credible, evidence-supported assessment requires, and why trained practitioners and auditors are essential to effective AI governance, risk management, conformance assessment, and reporting.

What your team will get
- The presentation: Remote participants will be able to see and hear slides as they are being taught, and we will expedite advance shipment of hard-copy manuals for each participant.
- Course resources: Remote participants will also get secured access to our online learning management system where they will be able to access the same course material made available to our participants attending in-person, often including additional soft-copy roesources in class.
- Attendance Certificate: A digital course attendance certificate will be provided upon successful completion of the training. Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits are awarded according to the course or session attended.
- Professional Certification: If a live training session has professional certification preparation and exams included (and many do), remote participants will get the same online access to certification practice exams and applicable professional certification exams. Since exams are proctored online on demand, remote participants will not need to appear in person to take their exam(s).
- Participation: Remote participants will be able to hear the presenter, as well as questions from the audience. They can also virtually "raise their hands" to ask a verbal question to be heard by all, which is verbally answered just as any other participant's question would be.
