Free ISO NIST CSF Assessment Tool

Most NIST CSF 2.0 training explains the framework. Almost none shows you how to assess against it.

This hands-on course is a working session inside a live assessment tool.

Run an actual NIST CSF 2.0 maturity assessment, start to finish, in the Multi-Framework Assessment System by Certified Information Security. Five hands-on labs in about 50 minutes. Upon successful completion, a digital certificate of completion awarding 1 CPE credit will be issued. Although this 1-hour session is intended to complement our other NIST CSF training by explaining how to use this to measure and report NIST CSF conformance per the framework's requirements, purchase of other training is not required.

You will leave able to:

✅ Scope an assessment so the result survives challenge
✅ Score Subcategories on the 0 to 5 maturity scale the way calibrated assessors do
✅ Apply the weakest-link rule: Tier 1 maturity never exceeds your worst Tier 2 answer
✅ Override a system recommendation, and document why you accepted the risk
✅ Produce a dated assessment record (CSF Profile) you can hand to leadership

What your team will get

  • The presentation: Remote participants will be able to see and hear slides as they are being taught, and we will expedite advance shipment of hard-copy manuals for each participant.

  • Course resources: Remote participants will also get secured access to our online learning management system where they will be able to access the same course material made available to our participants attending in-person, often including soft-copy policy template tool-kits provided in class.

  • Certification: If a live training session has professional certification preparation and exams included (and most do), remote participants will get the same online access to certification practice exams and applicable professional certification exams. Since exams are proctored online on demand, remote participants will not need to appear in person to take their exam(s).

  • Participation: Remote participants will be able to hear the presenter, as well as questions from the audience. They can also virtually "raise their hands" to ask a verbal question to be heard by all, which is verbally answered just as any other participant's question would be.
