QUESTIONS SUDDENLY STOP RESPONDING AND DO NOT WANT TO LET YOU PROGRESS? NO PROBLEM.
USING QUESTIONS AND PRACTICE EXAMS.
Some course modules have lengthy narrated questions embedded into the course. Even though questions are transparently pre-loaded to minimize potential interruptions or delays, you may occasionally experience a temporary "freeze" while completing a practice exam as the practice exam communicates progress with our server and catches up in loading upcoming question content — just as you may have occasionally experienced when watching an HD video over the Internet. This interruption is more likely with slow or shared Internet connections.
If you experience a sudden inability to progress in your practice exam, don't worry. Even though you will not see any indication of processing or progress, it is simply trying to catch up. Pre-loading upcoming questions can take 1 - 4 minutes. We apologize for any unpleasantness or frustration this may cause.
- Clear your browser’s cache.
- Disable any flash-capturing or flash downloading plugins you may have installed in your browser. These plugins can interrupt the course trying to load flash components on the fly.
- When you get the first question a practice exam, pause for a couple of minutes and let it pre-load some question
- After a couple of minutes, proceed as usual. If you hit an unexpected interruption and non-responsiveness, just do something else for a couple of minutes and come back. Pleasantly, the practice test will let you proceed.
Closing your course module.
Your question results score is recorded to our server when you exit your course module by closing the course shadowbox, which can sometimes take 1 - 3 minutes. Since the course module will not close until your scores are successfully transmitted and recorded to our server, you might perceive that your course is "locked up" and not responding to your desire to close the course. Have patience. Let the course module send your progress to the server and close itself. Interrupting this process by forcing the browser to close may result in losing your progress.
